| Instructor: | Barb Kaye |
| Instructor Bio: | Barb Kaye is the owner of Stitches by Barb, LLC, where she offers longarm quilting, custom machine embroidery, and instruction in knitting, crocheting, and sewing. A lifelong crafter, she began exploring fiber arts in childhood and has carried that creative passion through every stage of life. Her teaching style is patient, encouraging, and practical. It is shaped by decades of experience helping others build confidence in new skills. Before dedicating herself to the fiber-arts community, Barb spent 40 years as a pediatric physical therapist, retiring in 2020. That background—rooted in precision, problem-solving, and compassionate support—translates naturally into her quilting and teaching approach. Barb began quilting five years ago and quickly fell in love with the blend of creativity and technique it offers. She has been longarming since 2022 and continues to expand her repertoire of patterns and styles. In addition to traditional quilts, she has created multiple T-shirt quilts in a variety of formats including classic grids, modern layouts, framed-block designs, and mixed- fabric compositions that preserve the character and memories behind each shirt. Through Stitches by Barb, LLC, Barb brings together artistry, craftsmanship, and a genuine love of handmade work—helping students, customers, and fellow crafters bring their ideas to life one stitch at a time. |
