Aaron Lee of A&K Sewing Machine Repair out of Grayling will be here on Saturday, October 12th from Noon to 4pm to clean and tune up machines!
Make an appointment today to get your machine on the roster. Your machine will be lovingly tended to as will you as your shop at Delphine's. Aaron will be here all afternoon and works on a variety of machines. Call to make your appointment which run every half hour. Cost is $50.00
Hand Piecing and Quilting Class with Robin
Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 9pm - October 30, November 6, 13, 20 and December 4; Class fee $60.00
This 6 session class is designed for those who already love handwork, those who want to get better at machine work or those who just want to take their piecing anywhere they travel and work at a slower pace. Yes, machine work does improve with hand work due to the extra attention to detail and up close work.
Beginner Quilting Class with Jen
Friday's - October 25, November 1, 8, 15, 22, and December 6; 10:30am-12:30pm; Class fee $60.00
This class is tailored for a beginner quilter. Jen will walk you through the process of picking out fabrics, cutting fabric, piecing blocks and adding borders. In this 6 week class you will complete the top of a small baby-size quilt or wall hanging.
Here is a picture of the Project for the Hand Applique Class with Robin that was mentioned in our previous email. Kathy Williams, a former shop staff member, has made several quilts from Jen Kingwell booklets and would like to have other like minded folks join her to make Green Tea & Sweet Beans quilts. Call the shop or email Delphine at delphine@delphinesquiltshop.com if you are interested and we will get dates set up for this new club. There will be no fee to attend.
