WELCOME SEPTEMBER
September is a day or two away as I put this newsletter together. School starts in a few short days and my family, like so many others, will get into another new daily routine. I LOVE having a routine, helps keep me focused and I feel like I have accomplished something everyday. One of my routines that I will be starting again is to sew every day! I haven't been as diligent about this goal since May. However, it's time to get it started again. My husband and boys will attest that I am a happier camper when I get to use my sewing machine on a regular basis.
JELLY ROLL DAY
Saturday, September 16th is National Sew a Jelly Roll Day. We have a special sewing event planned, if you would like to join us, look below for some additional details. If you don't have time to sew with us that day, no worries. You can still celebrate with us...all 2.5" strip sets will be 15% off (Saturday only). We have a great assortment to choose from!

Spreads
Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 8oz chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Mix together brown sugar and butter. Add egg and mix together.
- Add flour, salt and vanilla and mix together well.
- Spread dough onto a cookie sheet to a thickness of 1/4" to 1/2" inch.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until slightly brown. At this point, pull out of the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top. Return to oven for 1 minute. Remove and spread melted chips over the top. Cut into squares. I like to add additional toppings like mini m and m's as soon as it comes out of the oven.
