Embroidery and color tinting have been around for many years and is a treasured skill that you will love learning.  This is a class that anyone at any skill level will enjoy!  On the day of the class, Leslie Peterson will teach you at least 12 stitches, bead attachment and needle uses and thread types.  You will have your choice of 7 or more possible patterns, where you will learn the art of color tinting in 4 ways, all of which are permanent and beginner friendly.  All you need to bring is a small pair of thread scissors and a needle threader (if you need one). The kit will have everything needed to complete a wall hanging sized project (except for backing, batting and special attachments that are shown as suggestions on class samples).

Machine Quilting

Saturday, March 2nd, 12:30pm-3:30pm

Class Fee: $24.00

Have you finished the top of a project and you don't know how to move to the next step?  Join Delphine Ren-Miller and learn how to sandwich your quilt top with batting and backing and stitch the layers together.  You will work on a sample piece during class time as Delphine shares with you her knowledge of machine quilting gleaned from 30 years of doing her own quilting on a domestic machine.

Binding Basics

Saturday, March 16th, 12:30pm-3:00pm

Class Fee $20.00

Does adding the binding to your quilt get delayed because you just don't want to do it?  Delphine Ren-Miller enjoys adding the binding because it means the quilt is almost ready to use and a finished quilt is a good thing.  Delphine will lead you from cutting straight grain and bias binding after deciding how wide to make it and why there are differences in binding widths.  Then you will add binding to small quilt sandwiches so that you have samples to take home with you plus written directions.  While the binding will be applied by machine it will be finished both by hand and machine.
