Building Blocks Monday, January 8th, 5:30pm-7:30pm Monday, February 12th, 5:30pm-7:30pm Class Fee: $10.00 per month, plus supplies If you've already taken a beginner quilt class and are ready for the next step in learning how to quilt, look no further! This class is designed for the beginner quilter who would like to build their knowledge base. You'll learn the next steps in piecing various blocks and make a sampler quilt at the same time. Class meets once a month and each month you will be working on a different quilt block. Examples include the Bear Paw, the Snail's Trail, and Cottage Garden. At the end of 12 months, you'll have 12 blocks ready to assemble in a layout of your choice. Come join Jen as she shares her love of quilting with you. This class will repeat, so you can join us anytime! |

Piecing 101 Saturdays, January 27th, February 3rd, 10th and 17th 11:30am-1:30pm Class Fee: $48.00 plus supplies Starting at the beginning, Jen will teach you basic cutting techniques, basic piecing techniques, sewing with a quarter inch seam, chain piecing, notching, and more. You'll learn 2 quilt blocks and how to put them together into a quilt top. These skills will provide to be invaluable as you begin your quilting journey. This is a 4-week class with homework after each class.

Wooly Stitchers Club Wednesday, January 10th, 2:00pm-4:00pm Wednesday, February 14th, 2:00pm-4:00pm Fee: $5.00 per session Love working with wool and using different embroidery stitches to embellish your projects? Bring your current work in progress and join this group of ladies who LOVE working with wool. Maybe you can learn a new stitch or two! The club meets monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.

Potato Chip Blocks Saturday, January 13th, 12:00pm-2:00pm Class Fee: $16.00 plus supplies The Potato Chip Quilt is scrappy and super easy! All pieces are the same size making the block fast to piece. You can sew these late at night or when you just want to sew without frustration. Did we mention there are no seams to match???? Evelyn Peterson will also provide tips on cutting your scraps, and some block variations. It's as mindless as eating a bag of potato chips. Before you know it, you have several blocks done!

Patriotic Quilters Thursday's, January 11th & 18th, 10:30am-3:00pm Thursday's, February 8th & 15th, 10:30am-3:00pm This group meets the 2nd and 3rd Thursday each month to work on quilts for veterans in the area. All fabrics are provided, and all the cutting is done for you. Bring your machine and thread, and help work on these well deserved donation quilts. |

Open Sew Monday's, January 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th Monday's, February 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th 10:00am-4:00pm Fee: $5.00 per session A day to work on whatever project you want to work on! Bring your supplies, machine if necessary, and join the group for some sewcialization! We have irons and cutting spaces. Bring money for lunch...the group usually orders lunch from one of the surrounding restaurants. |

Chic Diamonds Friday, February 9th, 1:00pm-4:00pm Class Fee: $24.00 plus pattern and supplies Join Evelyn Peterson as she teaches you how to use the Quick Curve Ruler by Sew Kind of Wonderful. This is a fun and easy way to learn curved piecing.

Laura Heine Friday, February 23rd, 12:30pm-5:00pm Class Fee: $28.00 Are you familiar with Laura Heine patterns which use a collage method of construction? Do you think they look hard or complicated? Join Delphine Ren-Miller as she helps you deconstruct a Laura Heine pattern and discover these very do-able patterns. We will be using the mini sewing pattern which has 3 designs, 2 are shown here. There is also a dress form and you can choose the design you want to make. |

Color Tint & Embroidery Saturday, February 24th, 10:30am-3:30pm Class Fee: $15.00 plus $20.00 kit fee Embroidery and color tinting have been around for many years and is a treasured skill that you will love learning. This is a class that anyone at any skill level will enjoy! On the day of the class, Leslie Peterson will teach you at least 12 stitches, bead attachment and needle uses and thread types. You will have your choice of 7 or more possible patterns, where you will learn the art of color tinting in 4 ways, all of which are permanent and beginner friendly. All you need to bring is a small pair of thread scissors and a needle threader (if you need one). The kit will have everything needed to complete a wall hanging sized project (except for backing, batting and special attachments that are shown as suggestions on class samples).

Machine Quilting Saturday, March 2nd, 12:30pm-3:30pm Class Fee: $24.00 Have you finished the top of a project and you don't know how to move to the next step? Join Delphine Ren-Miller and learn how to sandwich your quilt top with batting and backing and stitch the layers together. You will work on a sample piece during class time as Delphine shares with you her knowledge of machine quilting gleaned from 30 years of doing her own quilting on a domestic machine. |

Binding Basics Saturday, March 16th, 12:30pm-3:00pm Class Fee $20.00 Does adding the binding to your quilt get delayed because you just don't want to do it? Delphine Ren-Miller enjoys adding the binding because it means the quilt is almost ready to use and a finished quilt is a good thing. Delphine will lead you from cutting straight grain and bias binding after deciding how wide to make it and why there are differences in binding widths. Then you will add binding to small quilt sandwiches so that you have samples to take home with you plus written directions. While the binding will be applied by machine it will be finished both by hand and machine. |
