Getting bored with the simple patterns and ready to learn something more challenging? Join Leslie for this Advanced Machine Quilting class and learn how to do more complicated quilting designs.

Beginner Needle Turn Applique Tuesday, June 17th, 1:00pm-4:00pm Fee: $24.00 Class Fee, $20.00 Kit Fee In this class Karen will teach you the basic needle turn applique method. Applique blocks and borders can enhance and elevate your pieced quilt tops. The advantage of hand applique is the freedom of individual design. No worries that your piecing isn't exact. A flower or a leaf can hide a multitude of flaws! Plus, hand applique is very portable. Your kit fee includes the heart block which will be basted and ready to stitch, needles and threads.

Color Tint & Embroidery Thursday, July 24th, 10:30am-3:30pm Class Fee: $10.00 plus $25.00 kit fee Embroidery and color tinting have been around for many years and is a treasured skill that you will love learning. This is a class that anyone at any skill level will enjoy! On the day of the class, Leslie Peterson will teach you at least 12 stitches, bead attachment and needle uses and thread types. You will have your choice of 7 or more possible patterns, where you will learn the art of color tinting in 4 ways, all of which are permanent and beginner friendly. All you need to bring is a small pair of thread scissors and a needle threader (if you need one). The kit will have everything needed to complete a wall hanging sized project (except for backing, batting and special attachments that are shown as suggestions on class samples).

Beginner Foundation Paper Piecing Wednesday, May 28th, 2:30pm-4:30pm Class Fee: $16.00 plus supplies Interested in learning foundation paper piecing? This beginner friendly class will teach you the basics on using the add-a-quarter ruler and the "flip" method of sewing. You will be making Log Cabin blocks, using your scraps, strips or yardage. Jen Metzger will also share with you several time-saving techniques when constructing this block.

Building Blocks Saturday, June 7th, 1:00pm-3:00pm Saturday, July 5th, 1:00pm-3:00pm Class Fee: $10.00 per month, plus supplies If you've already taken a beginner quilt class and are ready for the next step in learning how to quilt, look no further! This class is designed for the beginner quilter who would like to build their knowledge base. You'll learn the next steps in piecing various blocks and make a sampler quilt at the same time. Class meets once a month and each month you will be working on a different quilt block. Examples include the Bear Paw, the Snail's Trail, and Cottage Garden. At the end of 12 months, you'll have 12 blocks ready to assemble in a layout of your choice. Come join Jen as she shares her love of quilting with you. This class will repeat, so you can join us anytime! |

Lori Holt Club Wednesday, May 21st, Noon-2:00pm Wednesday, June 18th, Noon-2:00pm Fee: $5.00 per session If you LOVE Lori Holt and LOVE working on her projects, come and sew with other Lori Holt fanatics! Bring any Lori Holt project you want to work on and get help with the parts you don't understand or don't know how to do. Jen will be here for questions, help and to teach tidbits of all things Lori! |

Open Sew Monday's, May 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th Monday's, June 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th 10:00am-4:00pm Fee: $5.00 per session A day to work on whatever project you want to work on! Bring your supplies, machine if necessary, and join the group for some sewcialization! We have irons and cutting spaces. Bring money for lunch...the group usually orders lunch from one of the surrounding restaurants. |

Patriotic Quilters Thursday's, May 8th & 15th, 10:00am-3:00pm Thursday's, June 12th & 19th, 10:00am-3:00pm This group meets the 2nd and 3rd Thursday each month to work on quilts for veterans in the area. If you want to join us but can't stay for the entire day, that's ok! All fabrics are provided, and all the cutting is done for you. Bring your machine and thread, and help work on these well deserved donation quilts. The group has now completed over 300 quilts because of volunteers like you! |

Wooly Stitchers Club Wednesday, May 14th, 10:00am-Noon Wednesday, June 11th, 10:00am-Noon Fee: $5.00 per session Love working with wool and using different embroidery stitches to embellish your projects? Bring your current work in progress and join this group of ladies who LOVE working with wool. Maybe you can learn a new stitch or two! The club meets monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. |
